Smith University’s Metropolitan College of Professional Studies received a very special visit. (Campus and Allies Reaching Each Student), an extension of Metropolitan College at Johnson C.

We welcomed a crew of videographers and communications officers that were looking for a unique and compelling story to be included in a series of talks and campaigns to help change the world. This team came to us on a mission to be the ears and eyes of two of the most impactful and influential leaders in the world, who currently serve at their own organization, the renowned Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Smith University’s outreach initiatives, successfully delivered a carload donation of school supplies to Bruns Academy.

Earlee Corbin is one of those first-generation students whose path to success has been a challenging one.

Earlee is a junior at Metropolitan College who is working toward a degree in Business Administration in addition to working a full-time job and also being a husband and a father.

The reality is that for some individuals, gaining higher education is not so easy.

Education is powerful but can be a challenge to attain for low-income students and first-generation students.
